More on cycle threads.

The bottom bracket threads are 1.37" dia by 24 TPI. RH thread on the left hand side, and LH thread on the right hand side.

Raleigh (because they were big enough) used a slightly different 1.37" X 26 TPI for their bottom bracket threads until the mid seventies when they finally fell in line. The 1.37 X 24 TPI is also used on the rear hub for screw-on freewheels.
